Radar Detector....Help

Looking to get the latest in radar detection.....

What's the best detector on the market?

Any good tips on setting one up in a G35 permanently. (i.e best splice in location)

use Search - it's your friend.

many people hard-wired Valentine radar detectors - there are lots of logs and threads with pics.

i myself have Passport 8500 and love it.

I have a hardwired escort 8500 x50 (red), using Mike's mirror mount from my350z.com.

I (among others) recommend hardwiring your radar detector (hint: use search function on this site and my350z.com), cause it keeps the driving compartment clean of ugly and bothersome power cords.

I am very happy with the 8500 x50...

Though fairly pricy, the Valentine One is the best on the market. Enjoy.

The V1 typically wins head-to-head tests against all others, so that's why I went with it.

It's saved my a** more times than I can count, so I'm a believer in Valentine One for life.

my $.02

You might also look at the Bel RX65. It is highly rated and functionally equivalent to the Escort 8500 x50 and similarly priced.
