Aero Kit Options???

3 Piece G35 Sedan Aero Kit
$1,949.99

COME ON! A new front bumper, 2 side skirts, and a rear valance for $2k?!?!?! That's just silly! Anyone know of another vendor, or aero kit that retains the factory lines and look of the G35 sedan for less?

There just has to be more options than $2k out there. I'm not sheap by any means, but for the suttle changes that the aero kit makes, it is NOT worth $2k.

(OK done whining, now just pleading for help and pics of other setups)

Thanks.

I think the kit is more than subtle, it changes the way the entire car looks. The front bumper is a 100% improvement over the 03-04 bumper. The side skirts cover up the black trim and give the body a lower look. the rear skirt finishes out the kit nicely.

There are other kits out there but to me they look like they belong on a riced out integra than a G35. Keep in mind that the factory kit is prepainted. aside from fitment issues the added paint cost doesn't make an aftermarket kit seem like such a bargain.

I agree with all the comments, and I do see the value (i guess). We'll here's my '05 and from the looks, it would seem that I already have the side skirts installed (or at least very close to it).

If I buy the front bumper and the rear valance, that should equate to an aero kit... right? I know that I'll have to remove the rear splash guards, and maybe the front ones too (to make it look right). Anyone know if the standard side skirts on the '05 are already the same ones as the aero kit?

P.S. my car has the 350Z spring setup (which I love)

I installed the aero kit on my 03 after 2 years of owning the car. Honestly when the 05s came out, it looked to me like it had an integrated aero kit. I think the 05s look good the way they are. Throw on a nice set of shoes and it will finish it off.

Joe, On your car I wouldn't change a thing except the wheels. The 05 body looks nice already.

Thanks guys. I've put so much work on the stereo, motor, and suspension (almost ready for the D-Specs), and the wheels are unfortunately last on the list.

I still like the aero kit front bumper, and I am looking for some deals on that, the rear and sides look fine to me though, but if you guys have a lead on an aero kit front bumper, HOOK ME UP!

Thanks.

joe...
The '05 has a different shape to the bumper.
The kit you are referring to fits '03 & '04 ONLY.

FWIW
You could mod the '05 bumper with some nice stainless mesh instead of
the plastic inserts & add a lip (lower left in pic)

From what I understood for several dealerships including one that I have an account with there was no Aero kit for the '05. As posted above its already made into the body. Not exactly like the previous models, but no "kit" is now available.

Someone Please correct me if Im wrong, as thats the reason I spoke with so many dealerships to begin with.
