This represents a lot of what I'm hearing.

In my case, I think the seat may be a little loose. I may ask the next time I take the car into the dealer.

I have the same thing... actually two - one is a bzzzzzz kind of vibration, and it is definitely the seatbelt height adjusting plastic thing... the other however is more like what you are describing and I think it is something loose inside the b-pillar. I had Infiniti check it out - they removed the interior piece and said there was a screw loose... it was fine for about a week but now it comes and goes - not as bad as it use to be.

One of these days I'm going to take apart the b-pillar and try to find whatever is loose in there.

Damn rattles, buzzes and vibrations are annoying!!!

Engine Rattle

I'm not sure if I'm describing the same symptom(s), but I experience engine "rattle" with my 2003 sedan around 35-40 mph and 1,500 rpm, typically, although it's not limited to that mph band. Depending on how I hold down the accelerator, I can sustain the noise. I'm wondering if it's a heat shield issue.

Also, I don't believe it's related to the problem above, but it lit a P0011 code the other day.

Holly 6 year old thread revival! Your code is crank sensor or cam sensor related, probably has nothing to do with the noise. Noise is probably a heat sheld, since you can get it to stay within a given rpm.
Good luck

Yeah bro, to me it sounds like your exhaust, or heat shield under the car rattling. Had same issue as you describe. Have you tried jacking your car up and having someone rev it up while your under it listing? I did that found a few things that were making noise. Do you have stock exhaust? anything aftermarket under the car?

Threads like this drive me crazy where the OP never comes back and posts the findings/fix like he said he would.

I've got a similar noise. It's only in 1st and 2nd under hard acceleration. The noise even increases with the shift "jerk" into 2nd gear. I'm leaning toward the catalytic converters coming apart inside, but I haven't nailed it down yet.

im not to sure on the noises you guys have but i have a weird rattle at 2500-3500 rpm that sounds like a heat shield coming loose but i tracked it down to be the timing chain tensioner, take a stick and put it against your ear and start poking around, and if you touch the part that the noise is coming from you will hear it very well in the stick.......or you could use a 5 dollar automotive stethoscope but hey whatever works guys, good luck

My whole damn underside rattles away because all the heat shields are breaking loose.

It's not just the shields over the cats, but also the shields in the 2-into-1 part of the Y-pipe.

Every couple months I need to get under there with some hose clamps and clamp the shields tighter.

I have this issue from time to time. Seems to happen when i let my oil level get too low. Now with higher miles my consumption is quite a bit higher.

I don't think it's the cats. I've been trying to pinpoint the noise, and it definitely sounds like its coming from the rear somewhere. I had a cracked resonator and loose hanger on my Borla CB, both now fixed, and it didn't make a difference.

It definitely sounds like metal on metal...maybe more of a vibration than a grinding, but it's loud. 1st gear at WOT especially. The noise almost overpowers the exhaust.

I have had a noisy PCV valve, the little plastic ball rattles every time I give the car gas. Same circumstances, under load accelerating moderately.

Mine is definitely coming from under the car somewhere and not the engine. It's now only doing it under almost full throttle in 1st and hard shifts into second. It's only pretty much at full torque loads.

i've been fighting a rattle in the front myself.

I did remove the heat shields and that fixed the problem for a couple of weeks, but now im not sure if i missed something or not.

when ever i turn on the car, it rattles ( same sound as the heat shields) it comes from the driver front tire area. when i give it gas it rattles, if i floor it, omg does it rattle. but only in the lower RPM's. after a good 1/2 hour of straight driving, the rattle seems to quite down and doesnt rattle as much giving it gas the same way as when i first start driving. it also seems the longer i drive the car, the less rattling it does.

EDIT:
found my rattle problem. this picture is a bit older, but thats pretty much what was causing my rattles. i just wound up putting clamps around to tighten it up a bit and workes perfectly for now.
