I don't believe in "midlife crisis". I believe in making life as fun as it can be until it's over. Heck, the Bible says I can believe for at least 120-years in this life. If that's the case, then I'm barely getting started!! I am jazzed that I am having fun driving again. I had a '98 M3 Sedan a few years ago but that got too expensive to maintain (after extensive modding), so I bought a Ford F150 truck, and then a Cadillac Escalade (nice...but BORING). The G-sedan is a very functional, very practical, very reliable, very fun car to drive...and I am having a blast again. It gives me a huge grin every time I drive it...even to work in the mornings!! Good to see guys in our age bracket getting in on the fun.

Just turned 40 this year, can I still play? Anyway, I went from a very modded, very fast '73 Nova /w MT to a very modded, very fast '78 Dodge Aspen R/T. Then I got married, and drove several FWD cars my last was a '03 Accord V6. I was however longing for something more, something RWD. I was actually waiting for the '06 Daytona Charger to come out, then I read a lot of reviews of it, yeah it's fast but it's like driving a tank with a hemi, not fun. So. I took a look around and found the G, a few months ago, and what can I say but I've been grinning ear to ear ever since.

Well said!!!

Retired AF too ... been out almost 17 years. Started as an E-1 (Airman for you non AF guys and gals) flying as a Loadmaster on C-130s and -141s ... and then onto Mother SAC and big missles and eventually tactical missiles in Europe. Retired as an O-4 (Major). And yup, loved every day of it ... well, most days

Had my first love affair with a Datsun when I got my Z in '74 and have been hooked ever since.

As I get older ... gonna' be 57 in 2 months ... I realize that being an OF let's me have more fun along the way. And the G fits into the fun-factor very nicely.

61 here- The G is the first AT i have ever owned and it is not bad, esp. commuting, but the 6 speed is so sweet and a buy, so i may have to get one in 06 when i plan to replace my early 03. Much as i hate to think about it, the G is damn near as much fun as my 78 911sc (as so much more under the radar).

I HIT THE BIG 50 ON TUESDAY! Also a 6mt punk, but we're all in this together right? Hey, I ran 5.5 miles this morning, can bench 225, seriously practicing Chinese and Indonesian hand to hand combat arts for 36 years and love to zoom in my G everywhere. Best kick in the pants I've had in a looooong time!

BTW, still married to the same dynamite lady for 23 years, 2 boys and lots of toys. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.....

Retired Navy here, but I have been retired since I was 19, got out in 1968, my Navy career was very short! I don't know, my first experience with Datsu, was a '73 pickup. and boy was I glad to get rid of that, what a POS. I am sure glad Nissan is what it is now!

First 5 years, I worked in Avionics, Then got a commission and quit working!
Spent the next 19 in comm-electronics, radar, elect warfare, etc. Finished my career as LtCol at Fort Fumble on the Potomic at age 41! Been retired since 1979.
Hmm. Spent my first 16 in Avionics. LOL.. I was an E8 when I came over to the darkside. Roger quit working.

Gonna do about 3.5 more years and head out the door right at 28 total. I waited too long to cross over though, the best I'll do is 04.

Enjoy the retirement - I can't wait for mine to arrive!

Already posted (41 years old), but felt I needed to add my Datsun/Nissan history. I had a 1976 Datsun B210 that looked like it had been on Pimp My Ride. My mom bought it new and then gave it to me a few years later as a graduation present. I modded it quite a bit....rims, tint, sunroof, custom steering wheel, headlight covers, racing stripes, $800 stereo and custom dual exhaust that exited in front of the rear wheels. Probably ran the 1/4 mile in 25 seconds! I need to find a pic to scan and post here for a good laugh. I also owned a Pathfinder but never felt a real bond with it. I did get it stuck in a mud hole the first week...most of todays sport utilities are joke unless your driving the suburbs in snow. My friend pulled me out in his Jeep Cammando (sp?)...now THAT was a 4x4.

Funny that you say that - I had an '87, the first year they hit - and felt the same way...

Also had a 93 Altima, first year for that car. It was a great little car - had the HUD and everything. I really liked it.

Went from that into a 1997 240SX SE-R. Modded it and ran the hell out of it, but it was too small. It had to GO!

The car before the G was a 98 Maxima. The white bunny rabbit. I ran that car within an inch of its life.

And now the G.
