So my friend buys a 17K Hyundai Sonata and his mirror brackets are body colored. I buy a 30K+ Infiniti and mine are black???? A quick trip to the shop and.........no more Hyundai envy.

How much?

How much did you pay for it and what did you have to do to get it body color?

actually, i had those painted while i was in to have my hood repainted. bad chip issue. we all know about that. but now it is clear bra protected and no more chips.....total job was 200.00

the guy i use does super work, and is totally reasonable with his pricing. he is located here in clearwater, fla. he has done work on my '03 G sedan, an '02 Maxima, and noone has ever known.....even the dealer at trade in. he also has a Q45, so he's a fan of Infiniti himself.

this is not the best photo of the hood with the clear bra installed after repaint. it was fairly overcast, but it shows how well the clear bra is "hidden" with the DG color. the bumper, mirrors, and end caps are also protected.....

You mean the total paint and clear bra was $200 or just the paint job?
I am also thinking of getting clear bra installed. Are there any brand recommendations? How much would it be to buy the clear bra and get it installed?
Where can I buy it? I just asked my dealership and they gave me a quote of $600 is it too high for clear bra?

I have a black and chips are very easily visible, I just got mine a month ago and have about 1500 miles on it.

For clear bra, labor is approx 150 to 200. The total usually from 500 to 700.

my bad. the paint job was 200.00 for the hood and mirrors. the bra install for the total kit was around 550.00 i think. i had it installed right after i bought the car new, but got damage from a piece of metal that pierced the bra. of course, just my bad luck. so i had to have the hood redone and a new bra installed. the guy who did the install is awesome! no charge for the new bra replacement...done under bra warranty. you can check him out here:

http://www.invincaman.com/contactus.htm

i recommend the bra totally! but you may want to think about having the chips taken care of first. they are very apparent under a bra, and that is why most people repaint the area first, before doing the bra.

I have black/black. If you guys didn't mentioned I never would of thought about that "black area" by the side mirror. With black everything just blends in so I don't really pay attention to what's painted or not. From a distance they all look painted.

My G had the hood mask installed by the dealer, now I'm getting the full front covered, by the same shop that does the dealers stuff, he's charging me $250 to do the rest, 3M brand.
