3750 and 7500 scheduled maitenance costs
Forgive me. I've searched, and read many, many threads.
Our 05 is ready for it's first service, and the 04 is ready for it's 7500 mile service. When we did the first service on the 04, we were charged in the $90 range. At that time, I just took it in; didn't know the difference between the "premium" service and the Schedule1 service.
I called the local dealer to setup an appointment for both services, and the 7500 mile premium service is $190. I asked what the cost of the Schedule1 7500 service was, and the guy said it was just an oil change. I pointed out that it also included rotating the tires, and other inspections, per the manual, and he said all those inspections were merely visual. He was in a hurry to get off the phone.
The bottom line is that I have not exactly enjoyed any experience I've had with the dealership's service department. They are always short, and very condescending.
So I'm considering just buying some mobile1 synth, a couple of m-110 filters, and having the local shop do the oil change, then do the tire rotation on the 04. The only thing that worries me is the brake wear on on the 04. It's behaving normally, as far as I know. Is it too early to worry about the brakes on the 04?
If not, I'm not paying another dime to that dealership.
Recommendations?

my 3000 mile service at Infiniti was about 65.00 with the Sythetic upgrade otherwise it would have been about 29, that included a car wash and a coupon for a free complete detail. (after the rainy season).
If you do the service your self be sure to save all the receipts because if anything goes wrong with the engine or drive train and they can put the blame on lack of proper service they will not warrantee it and the burdon of proff will be on you. My personal belief is, if you plan on keeping the car, as I am, take it to Infiniti or an approved Infiniti repair shop. Thats why I bought the 100,000 mile $0 deductable warrantee.
If you take it to Infiniti or any shop, YOU tell them what you want done. Dont let them tell you.

My 3750 and 7500 premium svc was something like $50 & $115 (approx). I will always have dealer do scheduled maintenance (my personal preference)... I suggest finding a different dealer, sounds like the one you spoke to wasn’t worth your time or money.
As far as the breaks - 36K 3yr warranty... I've been told they will last around 20K miles. So you should be okay there for now.
