Cleaning Stock Wheels

I have an '05 G35 Sedan with the sport package, so it has the 18-inch wheels. Does anyone know if these are clear-coated? How can you tell if wheels are clear-coated? I know this must be a dumb question. Also, what kind of wax can you use on wheels that are clear-coated? Can you use regular carnuba wax that I use on the car? Thanks.

I use Zaino on my 18" wheels. It seems to work good.

I just tried WheelWax, the dealer gave me a "can" of that when I bought my G, I still have to see how it does. I am sure the factory wheels are clearcoated, but I too would like to see that verified. Sure you can use the same wax you use on your car.

I am assuming they are clear coated but they may just have come with some kind of water-repellent silicone or wax coating. they seem to keep beading water slightly without any further treatment so I avoid all wheel cleaners that may even be slightly abrasive. Any regular wax should be fine just like on the paint.
