Turanza ER33 Replacement: Proxes-4

Trashed the Bridgestone Turanza ER33 235/45WR18 94W for Toyo Proxes-4 245/40ZR18 97W.

Proxes-4 = Kickass awesome sport "sedan" tire .
Highly recommended (baseline comparison to Pilot Sport PS2 and PZero Nero M&S).

Non-scientific review. First impression, Proxes still under break-in. Below won't format as typed - but you should be able to decipher

ER33 Pilot PS2 PZero Proxes-4
Cornering 3 9 8 8
Ride 3 7 8 9
Noise 5 3 9 9
Steering 4 9 8 9
Wet Trac 4 8 7 8
Dry Trac 4 8 8 8
Hydroplan 2 8 7 ?
Treadwear ? 3 8 ?

Does going from a 235/45WR18 to a 245/40ZR18 effect the speedo?

I have had the Proxes4 for quite a while and love them-245/45/17s. Far better in all respects than the Pilot A/Ss they replaced. Enjoy, I know I am.

The proxes4 can be a good choice depending what you want in a tire.
It's somewhere between a true all season & high performance tire.

I tried them for a month & found them a little too squishy.
Since I use winter tires, I want a true perfomance tire.

I changed to PS2 & love them.
But again depends on your needs.

Yes, by moving from 45 to 40 series - I think by about 1MPH (so it will effect the odo as well). Both inconsequential for me.

PS2 are awesom too. Had them on prior car but the stock set-up was staggered - so could not rotate. Hence, after 15K too noisy for my liking. They are expensive. Believe in greatest bang-for-the-buck (that's why in G ) - so went for the Proxes-4. Handling is phenomenal on PS2

I'll try to take some pics this weekend and post.
Did not get them for the looks - otherwise they look fine, not ghetto at all

I just want to see the difference in tire height and width compared to the stock ER33 setup. Thanks.
