our dealer seems to have them on most of the cars. i kinda like it. my maxima has it and it def keeps the noise down with the sunroof open.

NO!

I think they ruin the line of the car. Plus, they scratch easily, mount cheaply, retain water, and dork up the paint on the roof.

I have to agre. M wife 03 Altima 3.5 has one and it does scratch and retain water and I think it detracts from the overall line/appearance of the car.

Honestly - I hate the look of these things. Plus, they have to be kept clean and taken off when waxing etc. Example: When I bought my GSR sedan used, I took it off and found lots of dirt embedded. Even a professional detail job couldnt get the lines that were left in the paint. I put it back on just to hide the damage. So, if you do get it, then make sure to remove and clean/wax once in a while.

I would equate this to putting a bra on the front of the car. They have a purpose but make the car look like *** - It all depends on your rationale and prefrerence

Definitely NO. Same thing the others have already said. I especially agree w/ the comment on the car-bra...it does serve a purpose, but totally tasteless & ugly looking. In addition, they both (bra & visor) retain dirt & water...eventually causing minor damage to your paint.

I'll step out and say yes. If you are driving your wife around and want the roof open, you better have the deflector or she will be pissed when the wind blows and tangles her hair.

It is not that big of a deal to keep clean...no more obstructive than the Infiniti and G35 emblems. As far as the look, that is for you to decide. I think it looks fine on my sedan, but that's just me. It looks sooo much better when the windows are tinted too.

I don't think the wind noise is that bad. It's a heck of a lot better than other cars I've had where the sunroof goes above the roof (for obvious reasons). Another vote for Don't do it!

i drive a lot w/ the sunroof open in my coupe, and i don't get that much air buffeting in the car (with pass and drive windows rolled up). It's calm enough w/ the sunroof slid all the way back at freeway+ speeds to smoke a gar w/o ashes flying off and around.

I have the bra, but I only put it on when I'm driving on the highway.
