Prior to my G35, I was a dark interior type of guy. I looked at a few black interior used G35s and I was disappointed in how poorly they stood the test of time. They all looked 5+ years old and in much worse condition than my 96 Maxima's black interior. The door panels scratched really easily and the leather didn't seem to wear well. Then I looked at Gs with the willow interior and they all looked new? The willow doesn't look remotely as aggressive, but man does it hold up. My willow interior still looks brand new, doesn't show a spec of dust, and it makes the interior feel more airy/upscale. The willow also has a lot of green in it which softens the brightness of a light interior.
At the auto show this year I sat in an 05 sedan with the wheat interior. Wow! That's a bright interior. I didn't like it at all. It's way too yellow and light.
The best interior choice? That two-tone stone color. Man, does that look good. It's the right balance.
