Got a dyno sheet? Try my acceleration simulator

Inviting you guys who've dynoed your cars to try my acceleration simulator. It's not an acceleration predictor, using weird formulas to guess performance. It uses mathematical formulas (f=ma, etc.) to simulate the acceleration of mass over time and distance. It's not absolutely perfect, mainly because of the difficulty I have in turning all the dynamics of vehicle launch (clutch slip, tire slip, angular momentum of engine/flywheel, etc.) into mathematical formulas, but it's very accurate in showing you where you should be shifting, and how power and weight changes affect acceleration and top speed.

I originally wrote this back in 1998, and I know the UI kinda blows, but... Let me know what you think of it.

Usage note: The more torque curve data points you enter, the more accurate the results.

Thats very interesting. Do you plan on releasing the source (under GPL or some open source license)? I would be very interested in the algorithms you used for this.

It's all JavaScript, and not terribly clean , but help yourself.

Just ignore the "all rights reserved" crap.
