How does the passenger side airbag deploy?

Does it lift the dash or split through the dash? Just curious.

Most airbags split through the dash, so I would assume the G does to. If you really want to know, I guess you could try it, but I DON'T RECOMMEND THAT.

EDIT: Here's a pick of a wrecked G from a "crashed G thread"... Looks like it splits the dash from this pic.

Did anybody see the american episode of TopGear a couple weeks ago where Jeremy had to crash his old volvo into a stunted brick wall at 30mph? You could always try that method...

it does rip through the dash~ well at least for my car 03.5 Sedan AT....
crashed it couple years ago~~ was one of saddest moment of my life, it was like 2 weeks old~~~

I'm assuming it split thru upper panel near where the "airbag" writing is?

Thanks. I'm doing a mod to my 03s dash and I don't want to jepordize the airbag deployment or my passengers well being
