Can I fit 235/50R17 96H on 17" 03 G sedan with Spts pkg?

Hi basically I am thinking of buying blizzaks for the winter, getting them used with 4k miles on them, but I dont know if they will fit on my car, it has the OEM 17" wheels which comes with the sports tuned suspension.

How many miles do you think blizzaks go upto if used normally..??

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. Do a search for 235/50/17 and you will find many people have run this setup on their OEM 17's.

Thanks for the info..

I would like to know how does one decide what size of tires can run on an alloy?

Its got to do with the DIA x (A.B) - A.B portion of the wheel size right?

if so then if the size is 17x8.5, then what size will fit, and if it is 17x9.0 upto what size will fit, I am only spitting these numbers for example sake to understand.

Thanks a ton.

If you go to the tire manufacturer's website, they will have the fitment chart and recommended wheel size for all their tires.

I just put some Toyo 235/50 17 all seasons on my 03 sports package sedan with rear mudguards. I took a 2500 mile tour of Montana and came back with the sides of my car covered in tar and oil. So if you're talking winter driving you may want to keep the width down to OEM size or smaller to reduce the sand/salt thrown up on your doors and fenders.

just a quick word on the 235/50 17 vs stock 215/55 17 tires sizes. one of the best things about me returning back to the stock 215/55 17's from the 235/50 17's is that i have gained almost 2.5 mpg overall in fuel economy. of course, you can argue back and forth about the pros and cons of both tire sizes, but for me, i like getting the extra mpg right now. with fuel costs at an all time high, it's nice to be able to get another few miles out of a tank of gas. i think both of the sizes do work well with the G, and recommend either of them on our sedans. also, the avon tech m550's i currently have are really a nice fit on the car. they are super quiet, well balanced, and provide exactly the performance i need for my daily ride. just my 2 cents.

*note-tirerack.com is a great resource for information on just about anything you need related to wheels/tires. they also are great to deal with for tire purchases.

Could some of the mileage loss be attributable to a speedometer/odometer error based on using larger diameter tires?

thanks for the input, I would also like to keep my mpg up as it is, this car has the worst mpg ever..anyhow thats one of the worst parts of this car besides the creaks and the rattles..

dont get me wrong, I love my car too much to have this bother me..

anyhow on tirerack..great resource no doubt..but a good deal..definetly not..I am speaking to someone and he is offering me Michellins PS2 for my Vette 255/35 YR 19 + 295/35 YR 19 for 1195 and the same tire from tirerack is 1490, see the diff? Also on wheels, tirerack ASA wheels were marked 219 or something and the same wheel this guy was offering for 179, so in the total pkg for my G I would have saved 300 and on my vette another 300..

Not in this case. The difference between 235/50/17 and 215/55/17 is 0.2% larger which works out to about .05 more miles per gallon by the odometer.
