why do all vipers,vettes and trucks use borla & flowmasters? you can always tell when a muscle car comes rumbling down the street , and you can always tell when a fart can is coming down the street, thats why cops give them tickets for the mufflers. what muffler do you think STILLEN use on the system he sells? true duel maybe heavier but the power u get is worth the trade off.
i know nothing about *** cars...ok... if you only knew.....

Dude, I probably have owned more Japanese cars to date that you'll ever own. This is my 4th VQ35 engine alone. On top of that, I have extensive racing experience, both Japanese and American. Bottom line is HKS is LARGELY a ricer exhaust, enjoyed mostly by Civics that can't get out of their own way. That's not to say that HKS exhaust is not on some fast cars...There are exceptions to every rule. But if you've ever been to the track (and I highly doubt it), you'd see that the REAL fast cars DO NOT have HKS exhausts........

They are usually American muscle, which would never consider such a thing.

I have the Fuji Y, the coupe mid and the HKS rear, and let me tell you, the sound is awesome, there are not much noise in idle. The sound are much deeper after 3000 rpm.

I would recommend getting it.

I have a similar setup...except for a NFC Y (no longer made)
& agree about the sound,

It still doesn't compare to the Borla TD that I had on B4 for performance though.
The problem with the Borla was a drone I couldn't live with.

An ideal system would have the sound of the HKS & midi;
with the performance of a Stillen or Borla.

If I could find the magic combo I'd change.

Yeah, Ive almost gone down the HKS route a few times....just couldn't push myself to spend the money and then not like the sound.

HKS = RICE ??? Since when did HKS become ricey? have you seen their Skyline, Evo, and S15? anyways.... The HKS Carbon fiber TI looks really great in person. A friend of mine has it on his IS300, and I have it custom made on my 04 TL, it sounds great !!! I'm not just saying that because it's on my car, it sound like a 350Z or a G35 with exhaust, I would imagine that it would sound mean on the G35.
