2004 Rear Bumper
Anyone know if the 2004 rear bumper has/had that nasty off-black plastic piece around the bottom of the trim? You know, like the one off my 2003 sedan?
If it didn't, does anyone know if it will fit an 2003 sedan?
If not, will a 2005 rear bumper cover fit an 03?
THnaks.

Not a fan of the black trim at the bottom either......
I've got a 2003 sedan and I am seriously considering getting the black trim around the bottom painted the same as the body color (brilliant silver). I think it will make a big difference in the over all look of the car, yet still be one of those subtle changes that will have people wondering what about my 2003 makes it look slightly different than other 2003's.
Any thoughts on where I should get the paint work done? I asked the dealer about doing it when i got an oil change but they said they send out their paint jobs to select vendors. I don't know if I feel good about taking it to MAACO though. Any suggestions???

Well.. I spoke to several different Parts Mgr's and they have confirmed that if you buy the rear bumper cover for the 2004 sedan, it will not have the black faded trim and will fit a 2003 model. Best price i found was ~$300.

The 2005 rear bumper covers will not fit due to shape and the button to open the trunk.
Your best bet is to buy OEM Nismo or Stillen rear/side ground effects, or just feel free to paint the lower trim- many people on the site have done this.
