I already signed up for the Lexus event as well. I liked the Subaru event the most. It was really by appointment only. Only 9 people were allowed to drive 3 cars (LGT, 325, S60) every hour. Also, the instructors keep yelling at us to beat the **** out of the cars. I've heard many good things about last year's Lexus event.
Wow...you went to sooooooooo many events. Is any of them still available for this year?

mk3gtr, I've been to many of these events as well; GM, Subaru Legacy GT, Mitsubishi (boring), Lexus (when the IS300 first came out), Toyota (lots of fun), and Mazda. It has been my experience that these things are never "invitation only". There is ALWAYS on-site registration. That's why I'm headed to the Taste of Lexus this weekend. I dare them to turn me away.

I think you are probably right. However, I doubt you could have just showed up out of the blue for the Legacy event. No more than 3 people drove each car at any time.

Houston is booked solid, too. I never find out about these things until it's too late. Oh well, I might try and crash the part as suggested. If anything, it would be nice to throw the new IS350 around.

Got my Taste of Lexus invite via email about 2 months ago. I'm guessing that they got my name when I registered on their site earlier this year before I bought my G. I was checking out the GS, IS, TL and G at the time.

I forwarded the invitation to a buddy of mine at work and he was able to sign up for it as well.

And I have heard from a few others that if you show up at the gates they will pretty much let you in without any big hassles. Just say that you're "thinking" about Lexus ... they'll see your G ... and figuer that if they let you play you might become a conquest sale for them

Usually, they tell you "Just don't run over any cones".

I drove the IS350 really hard. They wouldn't let us do donuts or anything, but they did let us put it through the paces on their little test tracks. They also had a 1/4 mile, and folsk were really putting the pedal down on those.
