I saw this was a thread with a new response, yours by the way, and I made a joke about it's age. So exactly how did my quoting you make me the first person to jump in on this thread? Are you claiming I have mastered some sort of mystical temporal secrets? Is that what you're pissed about? That I haven't shared them?

Second, if you were really looking for examples to support your comments in another thread, that's cool. But why revive this one? Does the fact that you had a single word post, "word", in some way support your comments in another thread? Am I missing something?

Regardless, recently you've been about as touchy as my wife was when she was a week past her due date with our son. Scratch that. You're acting *exactly* like this one guy at work. So, from this point forward, I'll just ignore you like I ignore him.

Texan1, despite my claims to ignore this thread, I became too curious.

I still think you've been overly sensitive. But I would like to clarify something. I am in complete agreement with your view on street racing. I cannot tolerate it. If you and I ever sat down and actually discussed the topic, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be much variation of opinions.

Having said that, I still think you're being too sensitive. When I posted about the age of the thread, I wasn't questioning your opinion on street racing, just the relevance of reviving the thread. And I was doing so in jest.

After re-reading it, I understant it came across flippantly(my post about the age, not the sensitivity post -- that one was deliberately framed as it was). For that I apologize.

But still, chill.

 

Well, now that I have a wife and daughter this kind of stuff scares me. I understand the rush that comes from speed contests and some are riskier than others. Particularly the ones with super high powered cars that hit 100 in a few seconds on a 40 zone and over and over they escape looking like fast and the furious--until one fateful day....I never was that balzy out there in my younger days and never ran from cops--but I still think that it is wrong to allow them to glorify those street acts here in these forums.

While I appreciate your taking up for me I assure you that since I am on this forum and would see it I can take care of myself quite well in regard to my husband. I frankly thought what he said as quite funny and unfortunately somewhat on point. I think you said before you were having a stressful time when you got snippy before. I will assume that again here and I truely hope that your stress level is decreased soon. Absolutely NO smart@$$ intended there - stress is a killer.
