I am going to be in the market for getting my G in September 06 and would like to know if this would be to late to special order a car with just the featues I want which is aero pack and sport tune suspension. I don't know when the manufacturing switches over to the new model year. If anyone has any inside information on this, please let me know.

 

Probably way too late, folks were ordering 2006's in August/September of this year. 2006s are already showing up now (beginning October), it takes about 2.5-3 months for them to be built/shipped, you might be able to order a 2006 in June. (Allow a few weeks shutdown for changeover. Also the end of the year all options may no longer be available, they order enough for the assembly line to build the cars, end of the year certain options/combinations may run low/out They may be out of roofs without a sunroof hole and building only sunroof/premium pkg models.

I ordered mine the 6th of January and got it in March 25 (approx) through Grubbs.

In iowa, they say 4 months from order to delivery. I will be ordering my 06 G35x in January.

 

Thanks for the information, a friend of mine at the Lexus dealership told me the latest I could order would be in June or take my changes and see whats on dealer lot in September. Also he said that I could probably get a better deal on one this time of year.

 

Just got off the phone with the Infiniti dealership and they told me the latest I can order an 06 is early July 2006.

 

my g35x was prices at around 30 brand new with the ill pricing now... pretty much base tho, but hey base has more features than my loaded millenia did
