'05 Sedan Drop......how do I get it even?

Perhaps this a question for the Suspension forum, but I'm curious how people are getting a good looking drop on their '05 Sedan, given that the front fenders sit a good 1/2" - 3/4" higher above the front wheels than the rears. I've seen some dropped '05's that just look plain weird because of the larger gap remaining up front.

I've heard talk of using "spacers" when installing the rear suspension to even things up, but I don't have a clue how to do this or where to buy such a spacer.

FYI, I'm looking to lower on '05 350Z springs/struts. Please let me know your experience and thoughts how to best do this. Thanks!

tein h-techs for a cheap conservative drop 1.4f/.7r. don't know about the z springs on 05's.

Thanks, but the H-Tech's for G35 are "progressive" and not stiff enough for my needs. The '05 OEM 350Z springs are "linear" and very stiff in back - just what I'm looking for. However, without any additional tweaking, they'll lower 1" all the way around. I'd like to keep the back a bit higher for asthetics.

My brother used the Tein H-Techs on his '04 6MT Sedan. He is happy with the set-up and it looks really good.

Seriously, many of the Sedan-specific spring kits offer a greater front drop to accomplish this (Tein, Tanabe, etc.). But none of them offer sporty spring rates. So if you go with 350Z-specific springs, you'll get the tighter spring rates, but will have an uneven drop.

So the question is about "spacers". I hear people claiming to use rear spacers to create an even drop. What are these? Where do you get them? What exactly are we talking about?

I am assuming the stock 350Z/Couple springs are not the same as a sedan with a sport tune suspension. Is this correct???

you could probably find a lot more info on the suspension threads.
it's hard to tell exactly where the fenders are, but it looks very level with tein h-techs. a conservative drop that evens out, doesn't bottom out, handles great (rear soft allows better traction, can be adjusted with sways anyway). my 2 cents.

Yeah, the Sedan version of the H-Techs drops the front almost 3/4" more than the rear. This is the right idea for aesthetics, but I just can't live with the weak rear spring rates.

But with the guidance of a couple of our resident suspension gurus, I've scored some 3/8" rear coil spacers to use with the 350Z H-Techs, which are being installed Monday (along with a set of Tokico D-Specs). This should get me both the performance and look I'm after. I'll let y'all know after they're on.

I was also concerned about achieving an even drop with stiffer springs.
Would it be possible to buy half a spring set? -like buy 350Z H-techs for the front and use OEM Z springs in the rear
From what I understand, this should give a fairly even drop on our sedans and offer a sportier spring rate.
I guesstimate maybe 1.5" front and 1" rear.

Hopefully someone can tell me if its even possible to get just the 350z htech fronts and OEM rears, and if my guesstimations will work.
