Head lights & Interior lights not working at same time?
I've had my car for a couple days now, and I realized that I can't have the front lights and the display lights (for the speedometer display) on at the same time.
Depending where I twist the turn signal ****, the headlights come on and the display lights go off. Or when the display lights come on the headlights go off. The only way I seem to be able to have them both on at the same time is when the headlights are on and I pull the stick towards me so the high beams come on.
Am I doing something wrong? I'm worried because I just bought this car and although it's still under a bumper to bumper warranty, I'm not sure if this would be covered? The battery was very low when I bought the car so I had it replaced. Anyone think this is a major problem?

Sure doesn't sound normal to me. I've never heard of a car that turns off the display lights when the headlights are turned on, and vice versa. I'd take it in to get looked at. Those electrical problems may be hell to figure out. Was the car ever crashed...in front? Some cars act "crazy" like this when the electrical systems are not fixed correctly.

It's supposed to be that way. At night you don't need as much instrument panel lighting as you do during the brightness of day. When you turn on the headlights, or they go on automatically, the dash lights go down. And yes, there is an adjustment for night time brightness. Look at your owners manual. In '03 it's page 2-19. There's also a last click at the top, so you can have bright dash lights at night, if that's your choice.
