6MT Owners Step-In (Question about noise)

I have a 6MT sedan (2004) and I've been experiencing a clicking noise at slow speeds when operating the clutch. It seems to be worse when I start from 2nd gear, and seems to be even worse when turning the wheel slightly.

It happens during some slow down situations too when depressing and releasing the clutch.

I think it might be differential noise. Does anyone else get this metal click sound?

Thanks,
Brian

it might be your right rear axle clicking which is a common problem and can be fixed by the dealer under warranty

It is happening to mine, and through some searches here, I took it in to have them look at it. They told me that there is a TSB out for the clicking sound, and the parts on national backorder. Take yours in and have it checked out, so that they can get the part ordere for your ride. From my understanding from the other threads, its a bad wheel bearing. hope this helps...

FYI:
I called the dealer and they were extremely familiar with the problem, but they said the parts are on national backorder. They said not to worry about it, it's just an annoyance not a potentially larger problem.

They said they'll call me when the parts come in or I should call in a month if I don't hear from them.
