Do all 2003 manual sedans have Sport suspension?

I was told by dealer that all 2003 sedans w 6-speed came from factory with Sport suspension. Is this true?

IIRC, all 6mt sedans of all years come with sport suspension standard.

2003.5 was the first 6MT for the sedan. I think the first ones were delivered in late January of 2003.

True, as they said - sport suspension standard on all 6 MT G35's.

BUT - please note that there was no Viscuous Limited Slip Differential (VLSD) until 2004.

Exactly, it was ELSD, or Electronic Brake Limited Slip Differential

Electronic Brake Limited Slip Differential ????? Brake?

I don't know much about them, but already I don't like any positive traction differential system that involves the brakes.

A quick research of EBLSD "systems" reveals that this means that when one wheel is losing traction, the brake is electronically activated to slow/stop that wheel, and thus the power (which has to go somewhere) would transfer to the other, non-spinning wheel. This would be a somewhat effective means of retaining traction on a slippery surface, which is good for the safety aspect, and is actually "free" to the manufacturer, as it is really just a modified/altered use of the ABS system. No small matter, though, this safety aspect, and good for you.

However, it is not a very good system for performance, as any braking of the drive wheels while under WOT acceleration is anti-performance, and is assuredly the reason why no race or performance car on this planet uses "EBLSD" (in fact, most use a variation of the clutch type systems, such as the Quaife - adjustable and far superior yet to the viscuous LSD in the "G").

Illustration: If I've got two of my guys (my rear wheels) entered in a race, and one starts to speed up much faster than the other, do I want the faster one to slow down or stop in order to let the slower one catch up, or do I want the slower one to independently speed up and match the faster one's speed, without the faster one being held back at all?? Pretty simple, eh?

ELSD = Safety
VLSD = Performance

End of sermon - I'll go back to sleep now ......

Brake LSD. It's not just for 6-speeds. All G35's have it, it's part of the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system... and it's the one piece of the system that stays on when you turn VDC off. I don't mind it being there, but I do wish there was a way to shut off it's interference on autocross days.
