350Z springs lower front/rear unevenly?

I've seen some sedan members have had a problem lowering with 350Z springs and the ride height being higher in the front, vs. the rear. I've also read this could just be an illusion due a difference in the front/rear wheel wells? Just wondering what most have experienced. Also, has anyone attempted to mix rear 350Z springs with different front springs in an attempt to get a good ride height? Coilovers would be nice but don't want to go that expensive - unless the Megan Racing coilovers ($850) prove suitable. Thanks for the help.

do not use z or g35 coupe springs in the rear, they are too short due to the different mounting points of the shock tower in the sedan.

Could you elaborate? Are you discouraging using coupe springs only without shocks, or coupe springs with shocks? If the latter, then I must disagree. There are plenty of people with that setup, that have not experienced any problems.

geeitup: I suggest that you direct all suspension questions to Gsedan35; he seems to be *the* authority on our suspensions.

Yes and yes. The front fender gap on my '05 Sedan was 5/8"-3/4" bigger than the gap on the rears. It looks bad enough at stock ride height, so I knew lowering would only make it look more exagerated. So when I lowered, I used 3/8" spacers ("seats") on the rear springs to even this up. And it came out looking great. -T

Im lowered on 350z springs, and the ride is a tad higher in the front, but not by much. Its not nearly as noticable as the stock sport springs. I'll post some pictures of it when i get my camera back tomarrow. Its riding on 19x8.5, 19x9.5 Ruff Racing 279/ Dunlop Direzza 245/35/, 275/30. The ride height look's perfect now IMO. Id say go with the 350z springs and see how you like them. You can get them for under 100$, In my case for free, some people just want to clear out their garage, you may get lucky as i did. If they dont meet your standard, then go for a coilover or differnt spring. I think the Tein springs lower the front a half inch lower in front. They are cheap as well, can easily get them for 150$ But you dont get the firm linear spring rate of the sport/350z springs.

I think the the Z springs do lower the car evenly. Its just that the fender gaps in in the rear and the front arnt even to start with. Not many cars are. I still think it looks good though.

That's just not true..
Here's my sedan on '05 Z springs.

You will get less sag with the '05 springs with their higher spring rate.

What if you have the 05 M6 Sport sedan, do the 05 Z and the 05 sedan have similar suspension!!

Someone confirm this please

Similar but not exactly the same.
Z shocks are different
& rear springs are slightly stiffer.

My '04 had sport suspension which I believe is unchanged for '05.
(someone jump in if I'm wrong)
