I was at the Infiniti dealer today for the 11,250 mile checkup. While there, I was thumbing through the March 2003 issue of Motor Trend. In the back of the mag was a spreadsheet of all the latest vehicles and their performance information. The G35 Sedan had 2 entries, one for the 2003 models issued 08/02 and another one for the 2003 models issued 01/03. I'm assuming these release dates differentiate between the 2003 and the 2003.5 models.

The listings were very interesting. Here's how they play out:

The sedan issued 08/02 had a 0-60 time of 6.2 secs, a 14.6/95 quarter mile, a 110 foot brake test, and a 65.9 mph slalom.

The sedan issued 01/03 had a 0-60 time of 6.5 secs, a 14.7/97 quarter mile, a 114 foot brake test, and a 65.6 mph slalom.

Whaddup with that. If this is true, perhaps the newer models had more than just cosmetic changes...or this is just normal variance in testing methodology.

Normal variances due to heat, track conditions, driver skill, tires, humidity, and a ton of other factors....and in any case, the variations are so small as to be almost unnoticeable (except to us obsessive owners). [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

For me G35 2003 its better. I Prefered the back of the first one.

 

The 2003 sedans are MUCH faster....They will even smoke a Lamborghini!! ; )

Could be driver or car weight difference.
