Hey, does anyone have a noise comming from up front after you put your car in drive. I reverse out of the drive way and then put the car in drive and after a few feet of the car rolling I hear a weird noise from somwhere in the engine, i had the same thing with my 03 Nissan pathfinder. It was more of a clunk everytime starting out in the mourning the dealer said it was normall and it was ABS checking itself. This noise must be normall as it happens everytime starting out in the mourning after putting the car in drive for the first time. Its a 05 with the 5at, does anyone else have this? Thanks

 

The dealer was right, it's the ABS self-test.

 

My old 03.5 did this and my 05 does it also. It is the ABS self test.

Wow, I was just about to ask this same question. It sounds like a low grind but quick. It has been bugging me since I bought the car (05 5AT Sedan) in October. Good to know it is no big deal.
