Misshapen hoods on Sedans

some of you may know me as adamG35sedan on nicoclub.com. My G was recently the victim of a hit and run and had to have the hood replaced among other parts. to make a long story short the replacement hood did not seem to line up right on the left corner. it wasn't much but to me it was noticeable. after I took the car back to the body shop they got another hood that was more of the same. I took the car to the local infiniti dealership, and at first they didn't believe me, so we went to their body shop, and they took measurements, almost 1/8th an inch longer on the left than on the right. they also happen to have 2 other 03's and an 05 and they were all within 1/16 from each other and all were longer on the left than right. the remedy for this is that the hood can be adjusted to it lines up right at the back, but obviously there will be areas where it is slightly off. I am not sure about aftermarket hoods, but but be aware that the hoods are ot "perfect" just try to get the place that does repair work to line things up as good as possible.
