And for that matter, would you care to post who you went to?

I'm looking for someone to maybe do some touchup work. I haven't curbed the car, but I do have some nicks from debris (that's my best guess, anyway).

The place is located in San Antonio and Austin. I need to find the # at home for you tonight and I will send it. They are mobile, they will come to your house or work.

Do they have a facility in Chicago? I've got a curb rash I want to get fixed while I have the winter setup on.

Austin and SA only here. But if you call your dealer they might know of someone. They also recommend not touching Wheels of America because these wheels are too hard to match and you have to do it a certain way.

What did they do; do they paint the entire wheel or touch up the damaged area?

Looks really good!

Touch up the damaged area. Here is his #. 210-391-3406 for anyone in the San Antonio, tx or Austin, tx area. There is a guy in the Austin area he said, but he trained him. This guy is the one here that knows how to do the G35 wheels the best. He recommended you make the trip down from Austin for him to do it better.

Basically the process I saw was...

I will take some daytime pics for you guys when I can get my camera with the sun on it. Probably Saturday. Anyways, he sanded down the area. Then wiped it with I think Alcohol. He used some black mixed with silver paint. Just a touch of black. Mixed it. Then used a strainer to pull the metalic out of the paint. Then used a spray and air gun with his compressor and went over it with a brighter silver slightly. Then the clear coat which makes it slightly darker and it matches perfectly. The wheels are actually painted black under a light coat of silver then clear.
