He is speaking of the 03-04 which were an entire bumper replacement not the 05-06 which is just a chin spoiler. The 03-04 bumper will not fit on our 05-06 G35s

Would it look strange to do the aero front bumper and aero sides and paint the rear because that is my plan for the spring/ begining of summer just because I don't really like the rear under underbody spoiler. I just dont know anyone who has done this.

how much did it cost you to paint the sides and rear and how are the sides holding up to chipping and weather?

It was about $400 to do the sides & rear bumper.
I had it done last spring, there are no issues with chipping at all.

Looks good inTgr8r

If you find a reputable body shop, painting the sides/rear can be a great inexpensive alternative to buying the complete kit.

Me, I bought the whole Aero kit. Will be doing the install tomorrow.

I hear the rear valance that comes with the aero kit is nothing but a couple of pieces that double sided tape over the stock grey lowers (plus two screws). And that is supposed to be worth $500+? Painting is almost better because you get no grey.

What do you guys think of the Stillen sides?

P.S. pics are taken but I dont have the cable to transfer them with me. Will have them up tomorrow morning.
I mounted my rims, and just got my springs today. Will put them on in the next day or two.

It's actually held on by 8 bolts/nuts and about 6 self taping screws. No double sided tape what so ever. It is made to go over the stock rear valance.

Your welcome

Under each side there about about 6 self taping screws. At each end, there is one screw (facing the tire). Once those are removed, there are still about 7 or 8 plasctic push pins inserted into grommets on the body, under the side sills, behind each door. (I have pics at home if you are interested in seeing them). You have to basically pull off the side sills from there...poping out each push pin as you go along. Next, replace all the grommets, hold the side sill against the car and insert the push pins. Finally, put back all the self taping screws and your done.

Side sills were a piece o cake. So was the front but it just took some time to get it done.

I am still considering writing up a DIY for the front and side installs of this kit. Just have to find the time.

I'll work on it if someone will host the file. I don't have any web enabled resources that I can host such a file. Seeing as how I won't keep up on it (last DIY I did, the site was removed because I never accessed it), this will be one of those, "I'll email it to you unless someone can host it" deals.

I will see if I can get it done this week regardless. I guess I knew I would end up doing it...hence the pictures I took

One thing, the kit came with instructions but IMO, only helped a little.
