I have noticed something weird with my car. If driving with the widows down and cruising at one speed, I notice that if I gently accelarate I hear this whistling sound from my engine compartment. I was wondering if it is anything I should be concerned about?

 

that is the throttle body whistle associated with the 3.5 VQj

happens on my car, every V6 altima i have driven and maximas as well

I assume it happens on the Z too

it is just the increased air flowing thru your intake. Once you hit 3800 rpm (secondary intake runners open) it gets louder
