It's quite possible they don't list it as they don't want to run in direct competition with the American dealerships selling the item. Keep in mind Nismo is the king of rebadging. do they actually produce anythin or do they just slap their sticker on others products?

i know... i've considered that too... their cai (aem), cams (jwt), etc... do they do anything themselves anymore?

they say they do... and of course, anything is possible. you are probably correct... whether or not it's true, it sure is fun trying to debate it with a bunch of intelligent people, instead of my daily kuwaiti crowd...

man, i'm not here to try and upset anybody... just backing up what i say with fact, not speculation. anything i've said here on this forum is what i was told directly from nismo japan.

they are actually more interested in the z right now, which is where (you probably already know) most of our r&d for the vq is done. they've mentioned their enthusiasm about the gt-r, but obviously they can't say anything about that to me (a nobody customer). but it seems most of what nismo is doing is bypassing us sedan guys...

I like the factory aero kit, but I am biased.... There seem to be a lot of the factory aero kits on here, but I agree with the above post, I see very few on the road (maybe 8-10 in DFW).

There is no Nismo body kit, the kit has "Nissan" written all over the parts, boxes, etc. The only thing that does not say Nissan are the instructions, they say "Infiniti" and they are in English.

I refer to it as the "Nismo" kit because that is what it is most commonly called. I can state without a doubt there is no Nismo kit. The Japanese website is pretty good proof. I also looked into this last time I was in Japan, and there were no signs of a Nismo kit. The dealer there said there was no such thing (only Nissan parts) and Graham from japanparts.com told me the same thing (great guy/company, I got a chance to meet him on one of my trips over there).

I really like the Sportec front bumper. That should be the OE!

I'm not a big fan of body kits, but if I needed a different bumper for a IC... that's not bad. Looks different from OEM, but not over the top.

The prepainted OEM is bad... unless your car is brand new, it will not match 100%.

I installed my new OEM pearl white kit on my 03 sedan with about 25k miles, 1 1/2 year old car; it did not match. Shades of white were quite off.

white is theeee hardest color to match... and to add to that 1 1/2 year of life... no way you should expect the color to be on... not after 6 months. i would've opted for something else.

noooo... just the pre-painted factory aero body kit. a good body shop can match anything.... but make sure you know that they know exactly what they are doing.

the issue is that the prepainted bumpers, haven't been exposed to the elements, and your car has. it is still possible to get a factory aero kit, and get it repainted to match, but you do loose the cost benefit of getting an out-of-the-box, ready-to-go kit.

the worst part is, the kit may match for the first year, but because of the different types of clear coat, they may fade at different rates... that is annoying... like i said, make sure you know - that they know.

Does not matter if your car is new or not, I had the OEM pearl white kit put on my car the day I bought it and the color was off, I talk to a Inifniti rep person and he drove up to the dealership with pearl white sedan with the same OEM kit and its color was off also, he gave me this story about because its made of a different material and the angles that is why the color is off, the weird thing is that under direct sun light it looks like a good match but in the shade or at the end of the day it looks more grey.

I talked to a body shop and he said they used to much green for the base and thats why you get that greyish look to it. he said for about $800 he can repaint it and get a pretty dead on match.

Bottom line Infiniti screwed up, whoever they sub out the painting to screwed up on the base color for all the OEM kits, even the silver kits have the same problem as the pearl white, its just that the darker the color the less you notice it.

Just buy a used OEM kit, and have it re-painted to match your car color exact.,

If you go with the OEM Aero Kit, get it from infiniti-parts.com they will beat any online price if you send them an email
