Speaking strictly in reference to the law in California (and many other states) side marker lenses must be colored amber in order ro reflect the color amber. If you have clear corners and your car is parked with the lights off, your sidemarkers will not reflect amber to other vehicles. Why does it have to be amber? I have no idea.

his sides are obviously red underneath and that is common practice on DG and DP sedan after mfgr. aero kits. not untrue completely obvious.

Cheryl,

Thanks for your response. I can't imagine why people would not want the Nismo kit, the look definitely sold me on this car.

Cru,

Thanks for the info on the side markers. Mine are on their way from Chad so I will take my chances with the local laws. I will keep the factory ones in case I need to re-install them. Hopefully no one will notice, except fellow G enthusiasts.

Someone may have already answered this but you can tell by the fact that the underside of the car is the same color rather than the black and yes the side skirts come with the kit. I think that is why ours didn't sell as quickly when the dealer had it as it came with the Nismo kit and some people don't want anything "different" on their cars. LOL!

I left the amber bulb in mine, too...just to be on the safe side at night. Haven't had any problems in the chicagoland area yet. mgmoreau, you'll love them! It's probably the cheapest and quickest mod...but the return is big. It'll look great on the silver sedan!

I am waiting for them to come in from UPS. Can't wait to get them on the car.

Ok. I gotta look into this one. LOL! I have never thought it had anything to do with while they were turned off. I'll post up if I find anything of interest or find out why the powers that be chose amber.

Bush's ancestors probably controlled the amber LED market and influenced the legistlation.
