Only 2-months to NY, and no 2007 pics?
 

So the new G is coming out Fall 2006 and first showing is only 2-months away.
How come there are no spy pics-
I would thought that by now we'd have at least seen some heavily disguised testing shots-
Anybody?

There have been a couple mag pics, but they look photochopped. Someone posted there would be a January auto show in Japan where the 07 Nissan Skyline would be introduced. Guess that was false.

Why would it come out in the fall if it's being introduced in April?

On a related topic, are there going to be any forum spnsored or related events for the show? Is anyone organizing anything specific, like a time and meeting place? just curious.

I read somewhere that dealers will get the '07 G35/37 sedan in June or July. Just another rumor for now.

Something is fishy. The car will be displayed in 2 months and no pictures in sight. Yet, there's already pictures of the 2008 Coupe.

I'll be at the Autoshow this year for sure and will definitely take pictures and post them here. :D

Pretty typical. They introduce the new model months in advance of the actual public release.
No doubt they are going to show some prototypes which are near finished.
This will also allow Nissan to fine tune the vehicle if there are pieces which prove unappealing once shown the light.

However, this close to a public showing, there are usually spy shots showing up.

If I see some weirdo snapping pictures of the new G and getting in my way, it might be one of you guys. :D

I thought it was going to be an '08 released in late '07??

I think the sedan will be released later this year as an 07 model, and the coupe will be released in 07 as an 08 model.

if you seee some weirdo sitting in the drivers seat of new G, honking the horn and screaming "Vroom" "Vhroom" ... you'll know who it is :cool: :D

I don't think that is strange. Judging by the Coupe concept, the 07 Sedan will look very similar to the current version. Test mules with old body panels can probably blend in easily and go unnoticed.

Do we know if they are changing the chassis? I'm assuming it's a modified version of the current FM-
I'd like to see the sedan share some more design elements with the coupe.
