Sedan Seat support

Does any one notice that the driver leather seat support to the left leg is getting worse, ie. it's getting flat by the left thigh. Probably from getting in and out of the car a lot. Also I want the feeling of snug when I sit in. I am a small guy (145lb) and it will be nice to stay in place when I go through the turns

I was wondering if any one has taken the driver seat to the upholstery shop to get it bolster more. Also I live in Fremont, Bay Area. Does any one know of a good upholstery shop close by?

Re: Sedan Seat support

I was wondering the same thing. Actually I was wondering if anyone had swapped out with a coupe seat, and how different they are. From the looks of them they seem to have more side bolster. Anyone do this.

Re: Sedan Seat support

2 weeks ago I test drove the coupe with my brother who was thinking of getting one. The seat are definitely well bostered. Even if you can fit the coupe seat into sedan, where could you get one? I think it makes more sense to spend some money getting the upholstery done.

Re: Sedan Seat support

Lose your power/heated/air bags/headrest assist for leather Recaro's. Some guy in Japan did it already.

Agree about the seats. Just got our 2000 Maxima out of the
body shop. Had not driven it for about 4 weeks. I remarked
to my wife how much more comfortable her Maxima was
compared to my G35. She said "I'll trade ya". Don't think so!

Re: Sedan Seat support

you want bolstering? Just go buy a lap belt or a 4/5 pt harness

Re: Sedan Seat support

Hey 3point5SE_Auto, I was expecting a better answer than that . 4/5 pt harness would be clumbersome to put on and remove evertime one gets in and out. With a well supported seat, 3 point is sufficient. I am not gonna put in Recaro seat or what ever coz I want to keep it stock (no rice please ) looking plus I still want to use my 8 way power seat adjustment. The key is to still maintain the classy look if you know what I mean..

Re: Sedan Seat support

Watch the Recaro= Ricer coments Recaros are classy and would add quite a bit to the interior of the G but the cost is prohibitive. You might want to contact a dealer of Recaros and see for yourself-they are not the cheap fake racing $hit you see in SCC or SS mags. I think you'll be impressed-my 911 has Classic LSCs black leather

Re: Sedan Seat support

Well, sorry to offend you, ahem!!..your seat.. I know Recaro seats are nice and I would put one in if I had a coupe. My G sedan though, I want the original look. Having just driver seat be Recaro and the passenger seat be orignal or for that matter chages out both the seats for the sedan looks tacky to me. Yea, if I had a Porsche I would love to have it there too.

Peace bro.
