So I've only had my G35 for a little over a month and I must say, I love it more and more everyday. It wasn't my first choice since I knew nothing about Nissans but after my husband convinced me to test drive it, I was sold. And by browsing through the forums, I can tell we all love our cars. My question is, when you see a fellow G35 driver on the road ... do you feel a connection? Do you look at the other driver, smile or maybe wave?
I'm asking because my husband drives a Discovery and it never fails, everytime we see another Land Rover driver they all wave and smile. And I've grown to like that. It doesn't matter which model, they all acknowledge each other.

I do feel some "connection" when there is a fellow G35 on the road. However, as time goes on and more people start to drive G35 that will certainly die down. It's happened to me before.
Yeah I was a VW owner prior to my G and I just don't see the same level of love these days
Instead of flashing the lights and waving I might just give a fellow G driver a friendly "I won't make an *** out of myself when this person ends up being a dick to me" nod.
PLUR!

Hey, glad you're enjoying that G!
I definitely feel some connection when I see other G's. I always find myself staring at them even though I'm in one myself! When I first got my G, this lady with a G parked across from me at a grocery store and we talked about our color choices, experiences, etc. It was pretty cool.
On the road, I haven't given the old "thumbs up" or wave yet assuming I'll get the cold shoulder, but I think I'll give it a try next time I'm out and about.
Never hurts to smile!

The first month of ownership I tried the flashing and waving...........everything looked at me like I was crazy.
I only flash/wave to a fellow G owner if I see clear corners or some other aftermarket part. It's the only way I can tell they do more than just drive their car.

I owned a Lincoln LS prior to this car and found that most owners were approachable in the parking lots or return a waive.
The G owners esp the coupes not so approachable.
Honestly the Sedan and the coupe should have been give disparate desiginations.

On a similar note... I've owned two Wranglers: 92 and 02. When I had my slightly moded 92, everyone did the "Jeep Wave". When I picked up the 02 w/ no mods what so ever, I was snubbed every time.

I guess when I'm in the LA area and someone waves back, it'll probably be you! LOL
