Just to be clear, neither 2003 or 2003.5 has tire pressure sensors.

My car is in the collision center at the dealership I work at after hitting the back of a truck a couple of weeks ago. I love my car, but am selling it after it comes out of the shop, and buying another one...this time a black 2003.

My car was a 2003.5, but the black one that I am looking at is a 2003...but is beautiful!! I can live with the "doggie-door" trunk, the lack of trunk release, lack of tire monitors, and even the lack of a place to plug my cell phone...but I can't live with a difference in engine performance. Was there an upgrade power-wise from the '03 to the '03.5?

Nope. Just make sure all the tech service bulletins have been applied to your car. Some early ones had trouble with things like the A/C compressor, if I recall, etc. Those issues were resoved for the 03.5.

I don't think the engine power was boosted until 05.

Both Type 1 and Type 2 (what we call 2003 & 2003.5) A/T Sedans have an engine driven (mechanical) fan and an electric pusher fan. All Coupes and 6MT Sedans have had the dual electric fan set-up from day one.

As I stated above there's lots of differences between these cars. There's also many more differences between them and the 2004 model year cars.
