03 vs 03.5 What's the difference?
#20
My car is in the collision center at the dealership I work at after hitting the back of a truck a couple of weeks ago. I love my car, but am selling it after it comes out of the shop, and buying another one...this time a black 2003.
My car was a 2003.5, but the black one that I am looking at is a 2003...but is beautiful!! I can live with the "doggie-door" trunk, the lack of trunk release, lack of tire monitors, and even the lack of a place to plug my cell phone...but I can't live with a difference in engine performance. Was there an upgrade power-wise from the '03 to the '03.5?

As I stated above there's lots of differences between these cars. There's also many more differences between them and the 2004 model year cars.

03 vs. 03.5
I have one of the first 03.5 G35 sedan's that came out. Our car was delivered in October of 2002. First of all, the trunk was changed with the cut-out removed and smoothed over. Infiniti lettering was applied across the trunk. Secondly, there was a second power outlet added to the interior. I tried to order one with Twilight blue. Twilight blue was discontinued and then was brought back 6 months later as a color option. I ended up getting Black Obsidian instead. The auto transmission was the only one available. I would have gotten a 6 speed, but I was so excited to get a G35 that I got an auto instead. I have a catalog of the 03.5 model.
