Has anyone used a phone that wasn't listed in the recommended phones on the infiniti website http://www.infiniti.com/bluetooth A lot of the phones in that list aren't available for my service provider. Can I use any bluetooth phone?

Those are the only phones that are guaranteed to work. Most any BT phone should.

I have the LG VX8100 (Verizon Wireless) and it's not listed for the G. You probably can still make/recieve calls with it. I know you can use the 8100 with the Acura TL to make/recieve calls, but some features don't work.

I actually don't have a bluetooth phone yet and I was looking to get one soon. I just wanted to get some feedback on some phones that weren't listed and make sure that they work.

I use an IMATE JAM (PPC). It's not even sold in the US. I had to get it off eBay. I am T-Mobile. Works great in the new 06.

I have an unlisted Cingular 2125 (HTC Farady 2125)

It works fine. My old MPX220 worked fine also.

I just wish there was an easy way to answer, or make a call without it defaulting to speakerphone.

My motorola v710 works fine. Although, the bluetooth function seems to run my cell battery down quickly. Has any one else seen this happen? It might just be my phone battery is going.

it could be the battery on your v710 or possibly the phone..verizon wireless has had a lot of issues with that phone.

The infinity BT is very friendly when it comes to mating with phones. It uses its own voice dial system. This is good from a compatibilty stand point. The motorola units on benz and i beileve bmw are much pickier since they rely on the phones voice dial for funtionality. Those guys use the motorola aftermarket unit (mostly) and having a moto fone is almost necessary.

The down side of course is you have to program the voice dial on the inf BT, even if you have them all setup on yer phone. This process was manageable at first, but it really kills me that you can add phonebook entries on the move.
In fact all motion based lockouts on this car pisses me off.
