Talking Did my first mod today - Clear Corners

Well I put on the JDM clear corners on my 2003.5 silver sedan. They look great and fit well. I got them for $20.00 shipped from Chad @ Infiniti Specialists in the Marketplace. They are the genuine Nissan clears. I can't believe how easy it was to install them.

Here is the link to Chad: https://g35driver.com/forums/exterior-vendor/84412-g35-sedan-clear-corner-lights.html I highly recomend doing business with him.

Thinking of doing the 350Z tube with K&N next but after reading all the posts it seems like many who have done this mod don't feel a difference in the perfomance. It seems like the only thing every one agrees with is it makes the car sound better under full throttle.

Go for the z-tube, its worth it for the sound and feeling you get after doing something under the hood.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. Are they really that easy to install? The instructions are all in Japanese. Do you really only need to pop them out and pop the new ones in?

I was confused at first because of the Japanese, but just look at the pictures. You just stick a flat head screwdrive behind the light and push on the metal piece and it pops right out. It's a little tricky because you can't see where the metal piece is. You just have to feel around for it. After popping out the assembly, I left the stock harness intact and just swaped the bulbs.

I am looking at putting clear corners on my Twlilight Blue sedan next. This will be my third mod (had 35% tint and clear bra installed already).

nice first mod, but you should definitly go for the ztube and filter. your right there is not much of a gain but the sound is well worth the money. you wont regret getting it.

Great place to start. One of the most effective mods, IMO....
Kudos and happy modding.

Next, you will be asking "when will the mods ever stop?" Enjoy.

I would have never thought to do these clear corners if not for the great advice from the members of this site. I have been on this site so much in the last month since buying the car my wife thinks I need to go for therapy!

Can you install the Z tube and keep the stock air box and filter? Does the tube line up with the stock air box? Does this make any sense to do or should you go with K & N filters with the new tube?

The z-tube will just replace your stock g-tube if that makes any sense. If that is all you want to do then you can just install the z-tube and nothing else.

I currently have the z-tube only and stock air box and filter. I figured I would at least wait until my stock air filter was dirty before I went with another option.

Jamey,

Do you still get the great sound with the stock air box and Z tube?

Mine does sound better and louder at WOT but great is a strong word. Worthwhile? In my opinion yes (its cheap plus an easy place to start as far as DIY under the hood mods), but I do plan on going with the Stillen airbox eventually.
