How much difference does a spacer make?

Hey I got a 4dr G. 2003. I love it and have alot of fun with it. Slammed on 20's.. stillen cat back exhaust.w/ stillen xpipe. Stillen Cold air intake w/heatsheild. Z-tube. Stillen Sways. eibach lower springs 1.1" all the way around. And i guess i really want to know how much actual power you get out of the spacers and what would be a good idea on next mods.. i already want to get heads. but other then that anyone have any advice?

G-DUB,
The Motordyne Plenum spacer is a no-brainer! A sure 10+HP increase that you can feel. I was in awe the first time I drove my 2003 after installing it. Grin ear to ear. It is very affordable HP to boot. Just get it! The Crawford fans will tell you to go with the Crawford plenum plus cats. Do what you can afford to do. Either spacer or new plenum = added HP you can actually feel.

Generally speaking based on all of the information I have seen you can expect about 8-10 peak hp. Go to the Motordyne website and check out their dyno charts if you haven't already.

The dynos that they show were from Sport Z Magazine's plenum shoot-out article and as a result should not reflect typical BS numbers published by many manufacturers.

I have the 5/16" spacer on my car and like it a lot.

On another topic, how have you liked the Stillen catback (mine should arrive tomorrow)?

What color is your G? Black? I may have seen you on Braker a couple weeks ago. I was trying like hell to catch up to you but it was rush hour. You have the only modded sedan that I've seen. If that was you of course...

The website for the spacer says that, for some models, it states "The 1/2" plenum spacer is fully compatible with the engine cover but is too large to fit the stock strut bar"
Is the part about the stock strut bar true? Should one just get the 5/16"? Or do bars at the same time?

What do you have? The strut bars don't apply to the sedans.

It'll be going on an 03 Sedan.

Looks like this and a Z tube / intake

Is there any reason NOT to get the 1/2" spacer? Im looking for low-end power.....

If you don't care about the engine cover, get the 1/2" spacer. I have not put my engine cover back on since I installed the Iso-Thermal spacer kit, although I supposedly could. It's just a heat trap anyway. I'm sorry I didn't go with the 1/2".
