Crashed my G!

No pics yet. Well this is how it happened. I was driving to work with my VDC off (as usual, never would of happened if it was on ). I went around corner going a little faster than usual and started to oversteer, spun went up the curb, and hit and killed a 30mph sign. My car now needs a new bumper cover, undercarriage shroud. What scared the **** out of me is that I was leaking oil, but the sign punctured my oil filter.
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the bumper and plastic undercarriage shroud cheap.

I bet that's incentive to keep the VDC on from this point forward. Sorry I don't have anything positive to add to the thread... Good luck?

lol same thing happened to me but i only went up a curb. didn't hit any signs or anything. after i got my car back to normal and my tires, i was scared to actually turn the vdc off. it really shook me up. but now i noticed that i feel more confident about what to do next time if it happens. i actually just turned VDC off today finally after that happened and it was like 1.5 months ago =X

as long as your okay man, it's all good. good luck in the future. and you're not stupid for doing that. you will be stupid for doing it again and not knowing how to control it. so go to an empty lot cough cough. =D

Gee....I think I've read this before......this seems to happen quite a bit. Glad to hear you're okay!!

My G is my first RWD car...I think the only time that would be safe to turn off the VDC & drive like that (being a RWD virgin) would be in a wide open parking light (no curbs, no cars, no light poles, etc)....so you can learn/feel how the RWD operates. Just some suggestions for others who are curious as to how the car handles w/ VDC off.

Me too, I always had Hondas and Toyotas before so I guess I am still learning how to drive fast but controlled.

good to hear ur ok. my sister did the same thing with her Lexus. IS300. she never owned a rear drive car, and didn't know how to moderate the power... oversteer and spinned out. FWD drivers going to a RWD vehicle should be cautious.
