More rubbing problems

I just bought some new tires (Potenza RE050A Pole Position) and had them installed on Sat. Since then I have noticed them rubbing a lot more than my previous tires (Pilot Sports). I have the coupe 18's on a Sedan lowered by Tein HTechs. While the front on the pilot sports never rubbed when I make xtreme turns on the Potenzas they rub. Also the rears on the Mich. would only rub on extreme bumps on when someone was in the back seat. Now they rub almost constantly with any road deformation. I think it may be that the Potenzas, though 45 series also, may be a lil thicker than the Pilots but should it cause that much of a noticable problem? So you think it would help to switch to a 40 series tire?

I am still running the stock shocks, and plan on upgrading to the Tockio's next week. Do you think that will help the problem? Or would it be safe to return to the stock springs in the rear only?

Any other ideas?

More info.... what size tires? What tires did you have? Suspension?

FYI - Potenzas are know to run wide. A 245 is more like a 250.

the tires are 245/45/18.They are definitely larger than the Mich Pilots I have of the same side. I hae the tein Htechs lowered with the stock suspension.

#1 you shouldn't be using those springs with your shocks. It may be that the shocks are underdamped and causing the car to sit lower than it should or is causing the tires to scrub.

Plus a 245/45/18 is too tall. You really need a 245/40-18 to be a plus zero.

cut the fenders. If the right seems okay, I would just role or cut out the fenders. good luck.
