My 03 sedan had red shocks before I installed the Z set up. It was sport tuned.
maybe someone can get damayor to post here, he has an 06 sport and did work on his suspension so he would know what he saw. As for me, I'm pretty sure the 06 sport struts are black and I wasn't look at the boot. Mine are and so were the ones at the dealership.

The strut will be red, not the spring.
In the front the red strut will be inside the spring and on the rear it will be directly behind the wheel as where the spring is further back.
My Tein CS are gold, here is what you would see in the rear:

We have two treads on the same subject... Call Infiniti Corporate if you are not sure if you have the sports package they can tell you every feature that came on your car from the factory with your vin. Takes all of a good 5 minutes.
Just changed out the suspension on my non-sport '06 and the struts were black all the way, no red at all. Handling is so much better now, can't believe it took me this long to get the struts.

03-05 Sedans with sport suspension will have red struts/shocks with black springs...
^ yeah it's from 07, just means someone used the search feature that everyone bitches about when they don't. apparently it's lose lose with some members.
