Various images but they didn't come out well enough to really tell. I did notice that the rear looks lower simply because the fender cutout is actually lower than the front. Going by the numbers, the front was actually lowered more than the rear.




The car actually rides better now simply because the car isn't as "floaty". It's not harsh, there is no added roughness but the little bumps and dips in the road are more noticeable only because the suspension is firmer and quickly goes through the road imperfections.

I can tell you that the steering is much improved and a little sharper but I haven't really driven it much to tell how much better (if at all) it handles. I will sort that out during the week.

I did get the alignment done and the right front was slightly outside the camber specs but my mechanic said it wasn't enough to worry about. Everything else was just fine.

To re-cap.... my car is a 2005, 6mt, sport package with a set of '04 UNREVISED springs from a 350Z.

See all that stressing over nothing. I would have waited on the alignment though. Everything needs to settle, which means it will be a bit lower over the next couple weeks.

Looks good, like others said...it's going to drop another half inch or so...at it settles.

 

Luckily my shop has no issues with me bringing my car back in for a tweak at no additional charge.

 

Wish I knew a shop like that when I was swapping springs in & out.

 

hey..looking good. Quick question, What made you choose the unrevised springs over the revised springs? After all the research that I have looked at, everyone recommends the revised springs.

 

Then you've done the wrong research... seriously.

The unrevised spring rates are a proper match for my sport suspension. The revised springs are too stiff and would wear out the rear shocks.

 

I'm going through the same search right now, and have the same understanding around the revised vs. un-revised as it applies to the stock shocks, but suppose I plan on upgrading to the tokicos in the relative near future. Which version (revised vs. un-revised) work better with the Tokico d-specs?

 

you only changed the springs?

 

if you've already got the sports suspension, it probably doesnt make sense to do the shocks, unless you're looking for more performance.
