G35 sedan tire feathering.

Yeah, I've got it. Does anybody else? In the beginning (oem sport and tires) everything was fine! But After the tires wore down I changed them and they eventually started to feather. Then I supensions (05 Z) and well still feathered. I changed tires, Avon Tech 550a/s and after about ~6000 miles they feathered. I don't think my particular Avon's are as good as other folks....

What's causing the feathering on a 03.5 G35 sedan?

I don't see a mention of an alignment job being done. That would be your first order of business.

I have to agree with this, I'm on my second G35 sedan, and neither had a feathering issue, definitely alignment.

Any unusual tire wear demands an alignment. You might of hit a nasty pothole or something to put it out of spec. You should also get an alignment after any suspension changes.

Tire feathering is caused by high cornering loads. (i.e. going fast around corners). It's not alignment. if it was alignment, the wear would be even not feathered. Also, weak sidewall/tire rollover will contribute to feathering as well.

I even had an alignment at my Infiniti dealership. That was even on the kuhmo's i had on b4 the Avon's. it was too late with the kuhmo's. I was reading the forums the other day and researching tire/susp. stuff and there was mention about tire feathering with fast cornering driving. well after thougt i do tend to corner quicker than normal folk. what r the alignment #'s i should consider to reduce feathering?

Are you actually getting feathering or just wearing out your tires fast? With feathering you will usally get a loud roar from the tires..

it's also if you have a lot of people in the car will cause feathering.
