Rotating Tires?

I've talked to alot of people about tires and what not and told that I am going with a staggered setup and ask dem wa dey are goin to do..

dey said..same size all around cause I want to be able to rotate them..and I thought to myself, wen I had my stock tires, I did not rotate them once and it nearly lasted me 40k..

So, my question is, does rotating tires really help at all?

I think with rear wheel drive you can rotate alot less then a front wheel drive car which i think is like every 8k miles?

yes it really does help, if you drive like a grandma, maybe not so much. But i know that if i want to get even 18K miles out of my S03's i HAVE to rotate them.
If you want to maximize the life of your tire's on a staggered set-up then you should rotate the tire side to side. That way when you start to get negative camber wear you can swap the tire to the other side and have semi-fresh tread on the inside of the tire. I'd recommend side-to-side rotating once the inner edge of the tire gets to around 4 32nd's.

You also have to remember that your stockers werent high performance low-pro tires. It's a different compound so you def. will not get anywhere close to 40K out of em.

I've mentioned in other threads about using all 5 tires in a rotation (those with the full size spare). There is no sense in saving a brand new tire just in case it is needed. By using a 5 tire rotation, they will last quite a bit longer.
However..... some have mentioned that they think that the spare does not have the pressure sensor, which might be problematic. I have not checked my spare yet, so I don't know either way.
