it will fit 05 g, you just have to buy special muffler adapter bracket from everythingg35.com...( about $35-$40 depending on where you live)

the pic is an old of single tip is old pic...they haven't updated product pic yet (i don't they ever will)... correct part number will be dual tip.... performancenissanparts.com (hopefully they aren't still down) has the dual tip pic for the same part number....

good luck...

Hello!

I recently added an HKS Sport muffler to my 2004 G35 Sedan, which has an UT y-pipe and stock resonator/midpipe. One of my hobbies is a website that tests vehicles using a bunch of electronic performance meters, so I did a quite write-up with pictures, sound/video clips, and even a sound meter to detect the total changes. You can check it out here: G-Tech Tests.

My impressions are pretty much positive. The exhaust note is much lower and significantly louder. It does have some resonance at 3000-4000rpm, enough to provoke a buzz or two from my B-pillars on occasion (which I'll hunt down and kill.) However, I do like the tone and even with the windows down it's not too intrusive. I drove in a 2003 G35 with a Stillen "v1" exhaust and it's nowhere near as loud as that thing was, but to my ears I wouldn't suggest going with a coupe or 2005 sedan midpipe unless you really like noise.

Check it out, I hope it helps!

Rick

P.S. The G-Tech Tests website is on my home systems, so they only have a 512 Kbps upchannel. Please be patient, especially with the video clip, since if a lot of you G35 heads hit it at the same time it'll get kinda pokey.
