Wow that looks great. I have heard that the unrevised springs are "bouncy".
That is something I do not want in a ride.

I do have the same car, 03.5 with the sport suspension.

So my question is...

Can I just go ahead and swap out all my springs and shocks to the revised 350z springs and shocks to achive that same 1" drop?

The unrevised springs aren't what cause the bouniness, its the unrevised shocks. If you have a sport suspension, just run the unrevised 350z springs, they have the same spring rate as your sport springs. Revised springs have a higher spring rate in the rear(427).

can someone with revised 350z springs (rear with 427 lbs) on their sedan please post reviews of the ride quality whether or not you swapped out stock shocks or not (e.g. non-sport, sport, or tokico d-specs) ...are handling and ride quality characteristics changed that much? everyone mentions of the mod but not nearly enough analysis on the results....

I just did the full suspension (springs/struts/shocks) swap on my 03.5 Sport to a 05 350Z suspension and it is noticeably stiffer. I'm still running my stock 17" so there's some padding in the tire (assume once the wheel upgrade occurs this week, it will get even more stiff), but I noticed the difference right away. It doesn't seem to soak up smaller bumps any where near as well as stock (makes sense considering the stiffer springs) and I get just a little body shake when hitting them. Freeway cruising seems to be fairly smooth though...nothing negative worth noting really.

So...it is a very livable and for the most part "normal" ride. For anybody that started with Civics/Preludes/Hondas in general...this is way better than an Eibach setup on a Civic stock suspension (too harsh) or a Ground Control setup on a '97 Prelude (that rattled like mad and was harsh!). It still feels like I'm driving on an OEM suspension - no loud "bangs!" when hitting pot holes or annoying rattles.

With, the little aggressive driving I've done (waiting for the rain to stop + waiting for my new wheels/tires to really "drive" it), it already seems to handle 10x better (this makes sense too!). Body roll is almost absent (wish I had sportier seats!) and cornering is fairly flat. So I am very happy with it so far.

BTW, my drop also seemed to be slightly more than 1"...but I didn't measure it before I did it(wish I did). There is less than a "2-finger" gap in the back wheel well!

Although the ride quality wasn't as small a change as I thought it would be from reading these forums, I still like it and recommend it as an inexpensive "OEM" mod.

my350z.com. I have rear revised springs from the Z, spring rate 427. They are just sitting in the garage and I have no use for them.

igor, you need to get the complete pkg, either revised or unrevised, but you will need springs+struts. they will feel pretty close since the revised basically fixed the bouncy shock and provided a corresponding spring for it.

i'm not sure if there will be a difference in the drop. i didn't run across any info about that in my research. u might try PM'ing gsedan35, he's the expert on this.

i don't think you'll get a difference in handling with 350z sway bars, but i don't have the specs on the difference in diameter. i'd suggest aftermarket sways. i'm looking at the stillens myself
