I have a 2003 G35 Sedan. The Car Stereo was factory installed. I'm getting an error message when try to play a CD "CD ERR FO". Does anyone know the the problem is and how to fix it?

 

This is the "bane" of Infiniti. Your CD player is "dead" and must be replaced. If your car is still under warranty, so is your CD Player. I'm on my third CD player now. The first was replaced under warranty. It died just after my 60K mile warrany expired. Now I have to pay Infiniti $350+ to replace that POS. I investigated the possibility of going double din with an aftermarket one. I calculated it would cost me a minimum of $600 to get the double din parts, another $600 to have a professional installer to do the work and then I had to buy a good replacement head unit. It just didn't add up, I figure I can replace the POS OEM unit 3-4 times for less. So I am waiting for my new one to come in. POS I hate that POS

 

I have an appointment to swap mine out next Friday. The first time this happened, it fixed itself after a month or so. It would seem that the CD is sliding off the internal mechnism. I pulled the whole unit out this time, but I couldn't jar the CD loose no matter what I did. So, back it goes.

 

Common problem with the '03's unfortunately. The dealer will sawp out the head unit and you will get your stuck CD's in the mail after a couple of weeks.
