Axis Maxis Lip Wheels
Wut up folks, I had a question. I was looking at the Axis wheels with the maxis lip, and I was looking at the front wheel drive application. My question is, since i have an 05'x and want some deep dish action. Would it work cuz both wheels r 8" wheels. Just wondering and would definately appreciate opinions. Thanx

Where to start-
Your car is more rear wheel drive than front wheel drive. In fact, most of the time the x is RWD mode.
The critical piece when finding the right wheel is offset and bolt pattern- Do a search, and you'll find a list of correct offsets for the sedan. You'll find plenty of wheels with a polished lip in the correct offset. All Gs use the same bolt pattern.
When they talk about Front wheel drive applications, they are probably talking about the offset. And there is no correct offeset for all applications.
You cannot use a staggered wheel (i.e. 8 inch on front, 8.5 on rear) on the G35x just in case you were wondering.

The net of it all is this: Go to Tire rack and check out the wheels available for your car- This if nothing else will give you an idea of what will fit with respect to offset, bolt patter, and width. Additionally, use the search around here. Then, I'd get on the phone with Axis/Axis dealer and ask what wheels they have that will fit your car, and double check that they are telling you the right thing.
