I had a friend sit in the back seat of my g and i think the metal snap on his jeans caught the back of the seat leather and made a smudge/scratch on the leather but it looks like it could be fixed. does anyone know of a cream or somthing i could use to fix this mark. Im going to go take a picture right now of it to help you guys out on an idea.

 

I've had the same problems on my passenger seat. I showed it to a guy who repairs leather seats and he said he could do it but it'd be really hard due to the perforated leather.

 

might consider just having that seat cover piece replaced.

 

Meguire's makes an awesome leather conditioner/cleaner (Gold Class I think.) This may help some. You can buy it in spray or cream. I ues it on my G and my Expedition. Smells pretty darn good to. You should be able to find it at Advance or Auto Zone

 

Dude, now that I have seen the pics, forget about the Meguire's. Looks like to may have to take Foo's advice......

sadly once you get your hide skinned there aint no unskinning it. If you do re-cover the piece save the old one as you might be able to catch someone selling a seat cover. The you can bust the seams and have an upholstry shop piece em together.

Dont ask how i know all of this. Honestly it doesnt look bad too me but I know how you feel right now..

 

I've heard of people using heat to make the leather really loose and then using various conditioners to help smooth the surface and reduce the appearance of "scrathes" like this.

Not sure if this is a good idea or not because I'm not a leather guru. Anyone else heard of doing this and know if this could help in his situation?

Just having fun. That looks like it can only be minimized--not fixed.

 

How about a little shoe polish or shoe die that matches the color of the leather seat?

 

yeah i wasnt sure if anyone had this problem and fixed it. Im going to try a black color to make the scratch blend in more. I have a small one on my front passenger side too. sucks

 

Has anyone got new leather seat covers on. How much does the dealer charge ? If they do it. B/c My **** is looking a little on the Worn side.

 

you can get really nice aftermarket leather upholstery two tone with perforated and embroidery for like 1000-1600
