new g35 owner with a quick question

i just signed for my 2003.5 g35 black on black with 30k miles, i got navi and the sport package on it. my question is i read that some 2003 didnt have hid. did you have to add hid on those years?

Yea some 03 sedans didn't come with HIDs, but I think all the coupes did(might be wrong about the coupe)

ya some 03's didnt come w hids..all coupes i believe did come with hids

check the trunk to tell if it's a 2003 or 2003.5 ... the early '03's had a liftgate button on the trunk while the 2003.5's dont have the liftgate button to pull open the trunk like the newer models. if it's the late '03's then you should have the xenon's.

How hard is it to tell if your car has hids?

my 2003.5 has HIDs

At night flip the headlights on. If they're HID's the light output will start off with a blue hue and then gradually warm to pure white over the next few seconds. Also, you can turn on your fog lights and then look at the headlight housing. If you have HID's the headlights will be much brighter and whiter than the dirty yellowish light from the fog lights.
